Sound familiar? Probably. Because companies have spent BILLIONS of dollars to drill their marketing ploys into your brain.
Monsanto, a huge, billion-dollar corporation is “considered the mother of agricultural biotechnology,” according to SourceWatch.org. Monsanto develops, produces and heavily markets genetically engineered seed, pesticides, herbicides and bovine growth hormone (rbGH). In fact, Monsanto provides 49% of such technology used in the U.S. The company’s name has become synonymous with genetically modified food.
As a result of producing what amounts to nothing more than poison and selling it for a hefty profit, companies like Monsanto are responsible for killing people, animals and the environment. Eating genetically modified or hormone-enhanced fruit, vegetables, dairy and meats is absolutely NOT good for anyone. Study after study is making this more apparent. Even if you don’t eat meat, the chemicals (pesticides and herbicides) seep into waterways, soil and the air, which affect farms that harvest grains, fruits and vegetables too. No matter what your diet consists of, you are still eating, drinking and breathing this garbage and so are animals…both our loving pets curled up at the end of the bed and the farm animals many people choose to eat for dinner.
If you eat commercially produced, factory farmed meats and dairy, you are definitely ingesting the chemically altered DNA, cells, organs, etc. of dead animals (or even dead animal carcasses that your dinner was forced to eat while it was still alive). Additionally, any doctor can confirm that humans make their own hormones and certainly don’t need extra from a bovine growth hormone-pumped cow. The hormone balance in the human body is extremely delicate and easily thrown off balance, resulting in all types of negative physical and emotional symptoms.
The worst part of all of this? Monsanto is completely against labeling GM (genetically modified) foods and has pushed hard to keep consumers in the dark. Most people are completely unaware that the harmful methods Monsanto and other similar corporations use are done each and every day without so much as informing consumers with a simple product label or warning. If you don’t consciously search for information and make yourself aware of what you and your family are ingesting, you will simply have no idea what you’re actually consuming. And this is all completely LEGAL! After all, it’s pretty well known that many politicians who get huge kickbacks from huge corporations like Monsanto, as well as the multi-billion dollar meat industry itself.
By the way, Monsanto raked in $12 billion in 2011.

“The FDA approved the use of recombinant bovine growth hormone (rbGH) being injected into cows on February 4th, 1994. Both Europe and Canada turned down Monsanto‘s application for approval. Developed and manufactured by Monsanto, this genetically-engineered hormone forces cows to artificially increase milk production by 10 to 15%. Monsanto spent approximately half a billion dollars on a hormone to increase milk production (for an already glutted, taxpayer-subsidized market).
Additionally, Posilac creates additional Growth Factor One (IGF-1) in milk (a growth hormone which is identical in cows and humans). IGF-1 is considered to be a fuel cell for cancer growth and has been identified in the rapid growth cancer. The FDA insists that IGF-1 is destroyed in the stomach. However, if that were true, the FDA has proven that breast feeding cannot work. It is worth noting that rBGH is banned in every industrialized country in the world except for the U.S., Mexico and Brazil. According to Dr. Michael Hanson of the Consumers Union of the U.S., there is strong scientific evidence to support potential health hazards of rBGH and a case for labeling dairy products that contain rBGH. The need for such an increase in milk production has been questioned since the dairy industry has been overproducing for 60 years. Between the years 1986 and 1987, dairy farmers were paid over 1.3 billion dollars to slaughter their cows. 144 dairy producers received over one million apiece to refrain from dairy farming for five years (one California producer received 20 million dollars). However, according to the General Accounting Office (GAO); “Total milk production did not decrease because nonparticipating farmers increased their production”. Additionally, cows injected with rBGH also have a 25% increase in udder infections and a 50% increase in lameness.“
Only 3 countries in the entire world have yet to outlaw the use of rHGB, the U.S. being one of them. And there are studies linking it to CANCER! That’s a far cry from the well known campaign, “Milk: It Does a Body Good.” But you can bet your bottom dollar that a company that earns $12 billion a year producing it will do everything it can to make sure you never hear that part.
